Comparing the MOOJAY ET50 with the SuperHandy Passport GUT112? Start with lifting, battery use and riding pace—not a single headline number.
About this comparison: Published by MOOJAY, the seller of the ET50. This is a manufacturer-specification comparison, not an independent road test. Sources were checked on September 15, 2026. SuperHandy is not affiliated with or an endorser of MOOJAY.
The short answer
Consider the ET50 for…
More selectable speed settings and a larger standard battery. Its pneumatic tires and speed/trip display may suit your everyday priorities.
Trade-off: Check the lower load limit and whether its lifting weight works for you.
Consider the Passport for…
Its lower advertised total weight, higher published load limit and walking-pace maximum speed.
Trade-off: Understand the battery-swapping arrangement behind the advertised total range.

What the differences mean for everyday use
1. Lifting matters more than a “lightweight” label
For a regular car trip, consider the heaviest piece you will actually lift, where you can grip it and how high it must clear the bumper. A compact folded scooter is not automatically easy for every rider or caregiver to load.
ET50's listed folded dimensions are 17.33 × 22.6 × 34.64 inches. Measure the trunk opening as well as the space inside, and leave room for the rest of your luggage. Review the folding instructions before deciding whether the loading routine is manageable.
2. Compare a day's use, not just a range number
The range figures above use different battery arrangements. ET50's larger standard pack may appeal if you prefer not to swap batteries during a trip. A spare-pack arrangement can also be practical if you are comfortable carrying and changing a battery.
Leave a reserve for your return journey. Load, stops, surface, temperature and battery condition affect range; published estimates cannot establish which model will go farther on your particular route.
3. More speed is a choice, not a safety advantage
ET50 offers a wider selection of speeds. That matters only where the route, local rules and your ability make those settings appropriate. Slow down before turns and around other people. If you want a walking-pace limit, the Passport may better match that preference.
4. Balance comfort with upkeep
Pneumatic tires need pressure checks and can puncture; solid tires avoid routine inflation. Tire size alone does not prove a smoother ride or better stability. Neither model should be chosen as an off-road scooter on the strength of this comparison.
Before travelling: three checks worth making
- Fit and load: include everything carried on the scooter when checking its limit. Confirm seat fit, control reach and your ability to operate it safely.
- Loading routine: identify who will lift it and how removable parts will be secured. Do not assume it fits every trunk or overhead compartment.
- Battery and carrier requirements: ask your airline or cruise operator about your exact model and battery, not simply “a folding scooter.”
Flying? Confirm the battery configuration first.
ET50's standard battery is 280.8Wh. MOOJAY also lists an optional 94Wh battery separately; the standard-battery range estimate must not be applied to that smaller pack.
A watt-hour rating is not automatic airline approval. Confirm whether the carrier accepts the device, which mobility-device rules apply, and its battery-removal and packing instructions. Start with the FAA's mobility-device guidance for U.S. air travel, then check your carrier.
Airline rules vary — always check with your airline before flying.
Questions before you choose
Is ET50 a SuperHandy Passport alternative?
It is worth comparing if you want a folding three-wheel scooter. Prioritize your load, lifting routine and preferred pace; being in the same broad category does not make the models interchangeable.
Which one is better for an older adult?
Age alone cannot decide. Consider balance, hand control, transfers, seating support and the intended environment. If a health condition affects safe use, get individual guidance from a qualified professional; this comparison is not a clinical suitability assessment.
Has either scooter been tested head-to-head for this guide?
No. There are no independent range, braking or comfort measurements here. The recommendations explain published specifications and their practical trade-offs.
Check the details before you decide.
If ET50 matches your priorities, review its current specification and folding guide. Ask about seat fit, lifting weight or travel-battery compatibility before ordering.
